Roderick Williams and the Maxwell Quartet end their festival residencies by joining Christopher Glynn for a programme that brings together two spiritual high points of early 20th century British music: Elgar’s mysterious and deeply personal Piano Quintet and the visionary Mystical Songs of Vaughan Williams, along with new arrangements by Roderick Williams of some of the latter’s folk song settings.
