Excellence and opportunity are at the heart of the Ryedale Festival which, since its earliest days, has helped launch and develop the careers of outstanding performers. The Festival’s Young Artist platform is a sought-after scheme that every year provides performance, mentoring and profile-raising opportunities for a small group of exceptionally talented performers at the beginning of their professional careers.

Young Artists perform at the Festival, develop a close relationship with the audience, receive bespoke mentoring from world famous musicians and sector leaders, and enhance their profile through professionally filmed performances for the festival’s award-winning digital platform RyeStream. They also benefit from the Festival’s inclusive ethos and broad range of partnerships. For example, some have worked in local schools to share their skills and inspire the next generation of performers, while others have devised special concerts for audiences with dementia.
