Janáček poured his soul into Intimate Letters, a passionate and deeply personal work, while Smetana’s From my Life vividly reflects his journey through joy, sorrow and triumph. Performed in St Oswald’s Church, Filey – a striking hilltop setting overlooking the sea – by sensationally talented Ryedale Festival Waverley Young Artists, the Fibonacci Quartet, this concert offers a morning of Czech masterworks, rich in emotion and storytelling.
