Palestrina Laudate Dominum
A renowned vocal ensemble honours the 500th anniversary of Palestrina, whose sublime music shaped the sound of sacred Rome. This programme weaves together someof the most cherished works by this ‘prince of music’, alongside music by his contemporaries and a modern tribute that sets words by Palestrina himself.
The grounds of Sledmere will be open from 4.30pm for concert-goers and there will be a further picnic opportunity during the 45-minute interval between performances, when a bar will also be available.
