Getting Here

By Car

Ampleforth Abbey, Ampleforth, York YO62 4EN. There is parking on-site, with Ryedale Festival signs and stewards to help guide you. This parking can be dependent on the weather so please follow the signs and the parking stewards to the correct place.

By Rail

There is no local train station in Ampleforth, with the closest train station in Malton.

By Bus

There are two local bus services running from York and Malton. Please check current timetables and bus stops.

Access

Disabled passengers should be dropped-off close to the north door to the abbey. There are four parking spaces available for disabled drivers, which you will be directed to by a parking steward.

Wheelchair access is flat from the north door into the abbey church. Wheelchair positions are in the north transept (if this is being used), or the north and south aisles otherwise. There is no wheelchair access into the nave or gallery areas. There is level access from designated wheelchair positions to accessible toilets along the corridor towards the refectory.
