YOUNG ARTISTS

Waverley Young Artists at the Ryedale Festival

Excellence and opportunity have always been at the heart of the Ryedale Festival. Since its earliest days, the Festival has helped launch and develop the careers of many outstanding young performers.

The Festival’s Young Artist programme, which is supported by the Waverley Fund, is a sought-after scheme that each year identifies exceptionally talented performers at the beginning of their professional careers.

The Young Artists perform at the Festival, receive bespoke mentoring from renowned musicians, and enhance their profile through professionally filmed performances for RyeStream, the Festival’s award-winning online platform.

The Young Artists benefit from the Festival’s welcoming atmosphere by playing before enthusiastic and appreciative audiences. They visit local schools in order to share their skills by inspiring the next generation of performers, and they devise special projects in order to explore neglected repertoire and reach new audiences.

Join us soon to discover the stars of tomorrow.
