Two outstanding musicians invite us on a journey through songs of love, loss and protest, from the quiet faith of Bach’s Jesu, joy of man’s desiring to the defiance of The Beatles’ hit Blackbird and the famous Farewell to Stromness. Expressed through the distinctive colours of flugelhorn and harp, this music asks not only what we cherish and what we lose, but what we are prepared to stand for.
