Ferrier Winners Recitals

The Macedonian-Canadian soprano Ema Nikolovska is a singer of rare imagination and expressive range. In a typically adventurous programme, presented in association with the Kathleen Ferrier Awards, she explores piano-accompanied songs by Schubert, Brahms and Debussy, before joining the accordionist Samuele Telari for music ranging from one of Bach’s most sublime arias to bitingly satirical songs by Shostakovich and evocative folk music from Spain and the Balkans.
